Normally I love Zimmerman's. I've recommended them to more than a few people. I called today to schedule and appointment for an oil change and to check my tires because I have had to put air in one of my tires three times in the past 8 days. I was told I can't make an appointment. I need to come in and wait in line for the oil change and they will check my tires at that time. Part of my job is driving all over the place to do appraisals so it's pretty important that my tires are ok. I went to a few appraisal appointments and went to Zimmerman's today around 11 am and got into the line. A nice young lady came out to tell me the wait would be at least an hour. As I am still working, I don't have an hour to waste. I asked if I could just make an appointment for Friday so I can get my daughter to take me home so I can continue to work from there. The young lady said I could make an appointment for Friday. So I get out of line and drive around to the front, go inside and I am told that I can not make an appointment. As part of a local, family-owned business, I truly can not imagine telling a person who wants to use my services that they can not schedule an appointment. I realize times have changed in the 58 years that I have been alive, but not customer service. I am trying to avoid sitting in a waiting room doing nothing and waiting God knows how long to get my vehicle checked. All I want is a specific time to drop my car off so I can work it into my daughter's schedule to conveniently take me home and back.
HI Gina, Unfortunately, our oil change service is a first come first serve service. I'm sorry you got told different things today. We do not schedule appointments for our oil change service BUT you can drop the vehicle off at any time to have the service done while you go back to work or home. We have a lot of customers that do this for the same reasons. If you would like to do that on Friday, we would be very happy to help you out. You just drop the vehicle off, give us some information on how you would like us to get ahold of you, and we will get you all taken care of. I apologize for this miscommunication.
