I have used this business and its associated companies for 25 years for different services (except Sales). Despite all this, the last 2 older cars that I sent here for inspection, having been pre-inspected by myself and very well maintained, have gotten some crazy expensive estimates for some weird items on write ups. These same vehicles when taken to other shops with no back story, have had reasonable, if any repair bills. 1 vehicle was recently sold and passed its new inspection with no work required a year later. Another was given an emissions inspection in 2019 and it was electric.... it makes me question my continued use of the next generations services. No, you will not find me in your records easily since I'm the title holder of the vehicles (I somehow have a fleet now) and am not listed on your paperwork. Believe it or not I have found the dealer to be less of an issue to deal with, regardless of the auto for Maintenace and repair. Please Note: their site blocks bad reviews as Spam.
Hello Bob, I’m sorry that you think our “next generation” is in question. This generation has been owning and operating the business since 1994. We have held true to our integrity and honesty since the day we opened our doors in 1958. In doing research on this, I found that there are 4 accounts that are linked to you in some way. The vehicle you discussed about getting an emissions test on an electric vehicle. Doing an emissions test on an electric vehicle is in fact impossible. Our system will not allow it to be done due to many different reasons. The older vehicle that you had in our service department this week, did in fact fail inspection. Our service department is very good at taking pictures of the items on a vehicle that fail inspection. This vehicle specifically had a front rotor that had a lot of rust on it that caused excessive pitting. This is a failing item for state inspection. The other big item was the exhaust manifold leaking. Unfortunately, this is a costly expense due to involving the catalytic converter. The last two items that failed were a wiper blade and the fog light bulbs. All 4 items are inspection items that must be in good operating order to pass the state inspection. Our pricing is not for everyone. We use quality parts from reputable suppliers because we want to ensure that our customers are happy with the work we do on their vehicles. Due to this, our prices tend to be higher. Again, our pricing is not for everyone. As for our site, blocking bad reviews. This in fact is not the case. I researched this to make sure. The thing is that our good reviews out weight our bad reviews. In doing some calculations, our bad reviews (3 star – 0 star) make up only 3.7% of the reviews we have on our website. All reviews are in fact posted on our website. A business without bad reviews is not a business we want to be in. Our google profile gives us a 4.7 rating just like our website does. If you have any further questions on anything that we have done for you, please feel free to give me a call. 717-766-7656. Thanks! Jacquie Hower Director of Operations & 3rd Generation Zimmerman
