Took my 2007 Camry here to get something fixed with the spark plugs and they seemingly didn’t try to screw me over, so I decided to take it back here for my inspection. They tried to charge me 2000 dollars for wipers, a headlight and a wheel bearing. Took it somewhere the following week and passed for under 500 dollars. Sorry guys, you failed in trying to fleece me out of 2000 dollars. Good try tho.
We appreciate you giving us the ability to inspect your 2007 Toyota Camry with 209,000+ miles. That said, I’m sorry to hear how frustrating your inspection experience felt. I do want to clarify that our inspection estimates are based on safety standards and what’s required to meet state guidelines at the time of evaluation. Your wipers were torn and the wiper motor did not work at high speed. Your highlight aim was off, and your right headlight was broken to the point that it could not be aimed. Lastly, your wheel bearing was falling apart. Items like wheel bearings, lighting, and visibility components (like wipers) can impact whether a vehicle passes inspection, and we quote repairs accordingly using quality parts and labor. Different shops may approach inspections and repairs differently, and we know and understand that we are not the shop for everyone. We respect your decision to seek a second opinion. Safety of our customers and other drivers on the road means a lot to us. We are glad you were able to get your vehicle’s safety inspection completed. - Jacquie Hower, Director of Operations, Zimmerman’s Automotive Tire Pros
